Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office For her role, she was awarded the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble Comedy.
Her family was based on the streets of St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in the church when she was young, which instilled a love of theater and performance.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her origins. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the show Reasons to be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in the month of October. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads in its first two-years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in the month of January in 2021.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that recounts her experience through St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were there (co-authored with Angela Kinsey) The book is the story of their greatest friendship as well as their work for The Office.
